No Go BlogHer!

Not that I had any inkling that I would be attending BlogHer2010, but the ladies behind “To Be Thode” and “Musings of a Marfan Mom” have decided to create their own little non-BlogHer party! I’ve decided to play along and so…

When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in November 2009. Right now I am writing from Door County, Wisconsin and, strangely enough, that is where I was when I started blogging!

Why did you start blogging?
I once heard someone say that you have to be an unabashed narcissist to be a writer because you honestly believe that what you say is so interesting that others would want to read it. I started blogging shortly after I started following The Feminist Breeder. I don’t know if it was Gina’s style of writing or what but she got me hooked!

What is one thing you are going to do this week that is WAY cooler than going to BlogHer?
As I said earlier, I am on vacation in Door County this week so we will be going pontooning, hitting up Al Johnson’s for some Swedish Pancakes, heading to the beach and then to Wilson’s for ice cream. Oh, yeah and then on to MADISON for a wedding!!! The hubs and I get to take our girls to where Buckingham U. Badger lives and breathes and where their parents met.

Share a post that you think says a lot about you or is your favorite. (share the link in YOUR post so we all can see)
My favorite post so far has to be Breastfeeding… Normalized. Breastfeeding, along with Catholicism, are huge parts of my life and this post, to me, says it all.

Wordless Wednesday: Mama Milk (WBW: Day 4)

We were fortunate enough to witness this tender moment between a mama pony and her baby foal at Schopf’s Hilltop Dairy Farm in Door County, Wisconsin.

As this is WBW, my posts this week will reflect this. In addition, use my blogroll visit other blogs that celebrate breastfeeding and the joy that comes from it. Make sure you check them out! Also, the 8th Edition of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding is out. This edition has been revised since 2004 and it. is. awesome. Seriously.

Pax Christi!
